Theme- Anatomy and its' role in society: Application and Impact
This meeting will focus on the role anatomy and anatomical knowledge has within our society, with a focus on its wider application and impact. Subthemes within the meeting will include:
- Anatomical education and the impact this has on learners of anatomy
- Anatomical outreach and public engagement and the impact this has on the public
- Anatomical research and the impact of this, under further subthemes of human interfaces and ergonomics, development, technology, EDI and clinical/ surgical applications
- The current landscape of ethics in anatomy

The Young Investigator prize will be awarded for the best talk presented by an attendee, normally of relatively junior status, at the winter meeting. To be eligible for this prize, the work presented must have been carried out while the first author was an undergraduate or postgraduate student and be presented within 1 year of the award of the doctorate, if applicable. The presenter may be a member of the Anatomical Society or a non-member.
The aim of the Anatomical Society's Scientific Meetings is to promote science and research in the anatomical sciences.
One of the greatest strengths of the Society is its diversity and nowhere is this exemplified better than by the range of topics at our meetings.
The Anatomical Society are committed to fostering a community where diversity of thought, background, and identity is valued and celebrated. As a society, we aim to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all participants to share their insights and engage in open and honest intellectual debate, to contribute to the advancement of our field.
Cancellation Policy
If we cancel the meeting, registration will be refunded in full. If you cancel up to 1 month before the meeting, you will be refunded your registration fee, minus 10%. If you cancel within a month of the meeting we are unable to refund your registration. We will not be able to refund the cost of any other expenses relating to meeting attendance, refund is only for registration.
